Honoring 250 years of freedom this Fourth of July
On this Fourth of July, as America marks 250 years of independence, we pause with grateful hearts to celebrate the blessings of God upon the founding of this nation. We salute the strength of the Founder’s faith in His providence, the love of family, and the abiding promise of the United States of America.
From its inception, this nation was established by men and women who believed that liberty is a sacred gift from God. They believed that government must be grounded in moral responsibility and ordered freedom. The Declaration of Independence decreed that our rights come from our Creator, and the Constitution gave those principles a lasting framework: a republic ruled by laws, checks and balances, limited government, and freedom protected for generations.
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." Preamble to the Declaration of Independence
The genius of the Constitution is that it trusts neither power without restraint nor liberty without virtue. It boldly begins with “We the People” and establishes a brilliant system designed to secure justice, preserve peace, defend the nation, promote the general welfare, and safeguard the blessings of liberty for ourselves and our progeny. It is the oldest codified Constitution in existence for this reason.

As we gather with family, raise the flag (or as many as you like), offer prayers of thanksgiving, and remember the courage of those who secured and defended our freedom, may we renew our commitment to the godly values that made America a shining city on a hill: faith in God, love of neighbor, respect for the rule of law, devotion to family, and courage in the cause of liberty.
May God bless America, the land of the free and home of the brave. May the next 250 years be filled with faith, gratitude, freedom, and posterity who choose to pass along Her good and godly qualities while always learning from Her mistakes.
